About Us

Who We Are
Labora is a non-governmental, non-profit charitable organization, established in April 2008 under registration number 421 from the Lebanese Ministry of Interior.

Its objective is to find suitable solutions to the crisis unemployment, which places a burden on Lebanon’s economy and society, especially the Christian community. Labora has taken upon itself the responsibility to work towards restoring balance and genuine partnership within state institutions, reducing the outflow of emigration, and combating unemployment. This is aimed at helping families remain rooted in their homeland, preserving the dignity of all, and keeping coexistence active and effective throughout the unified Lebanese society, rich in the diversity of its components.

Labora is made of a large family that includes many volunteers, donors, institutions, consultants, and friends, as well as the Christian community and churches from various regions, sectors, and specialities.

Our Vision

  • To provide dignified work and a steady, sustainable income so that Lebanon remains a country of diversity and freedom, offering its people the possibility of stability, security, and rooting in the components of the homeland after a period of near disruption to contribute effectively to the building of the homeland.

Our Philosophy
Labora relies on three fundamental principles to achieve its goals: trust in God and oneself, trust in the Lebanese people’s spirit of cooperation, and adopting a scientific and professional approach to address the challenge of unemployment. This is done by understanding the needs of young job seekers, qualifying and guiding them, and developing their skills according to the requirements of the labor market and the professions they wish to pursue.

Partnership Project
Labora believes in teamwork and that every individual in the society possesses many talents and abilities that enrich the group and the cause. However, if these abilities are used individually and away from serving the public interest, without coordination with an integrated collective project, individuality becomes harmful.

Our Mission

1. To guide, train, and raise awareness about a "new work culture" and the importance of engaging with state institutions and working in Lebanon, instead of emigrating to nearby or distant countries.

2. To reduce the emigration of Lebanese caused by unemployment.

3. To restore and activate the national and ethical role within state institutions.

2. Adopting scientific and objective professionalism.
